Put 120 children in a beautiful park, and you can expect a day full of laughter and fun! The Bethania Kids daycare staff orchestrated just such an event. All the children from our daycare programs in Kodaikanal enjoyed an outing to a local park.
The children explored the park’s gardens, discovering an amazing variety of flowers, shrubs, and trees. They also visited the greenhouse, where they enjoyed seeing even more of God’s wonderful creation. With great interest and excitement, the children watched an silambam performance (an ancient martial art form unique to the region). They also had plenty of opportunities to play together in the open spaces.
A picnic lunch at the park added to the fun and made the day especially memorable. Outings like this provide a welcome opportunity to learn and experience new things beyond the classroom while building friendships with their teachers and one another.
