B. Harish, Dayavu Home

Toni O'Connor | November 16, 2020

My name is B. Harish and I am from Poombarai village near Kodaikanal, the son of Mr.  Balan & Mrs. Manimagalai. My mother committed suicide when I was in third grade due to family problems. My father was a heavy drinker and used to fight everyday with my mother. I have one sister who lives at Bethania Kids Shalom Home in Kodaikanal.  When my mother died, my father started to drunk more.  He lost interest in caring for me and my sister. We were without daily food and unable to meet other daily needs. My father came to know about Bethania Kids through one of the pastors at Poombarai and I came to Dayavu Home before third grade. Due to severe alcoholism, my father died in April 2019.

I am very grateful to Bethania Foundation, India because they gave me hope for my life.  They are providing me with an education, good food, clothes, guidance and love. I am very thankful to all the Bethania Kids staff who care for me.  Now I am in the 10th grade and my aim is to become a mechanical engineer to serve the poor children in society who are suffering like me. The people of Bethania Kids and Dayavu Home have saved my life. I thank God for His grace and love in my life. Kindly pray for my studies, our home and the children in Bethania Kids’ care.
